Looking polished doesn’t have to be boring. Wear a button-up blouse and add a statement necklace around the collar. It’s a great way to spice up an outfit while still keeping a professional look.

Taking An Outfit From Drab To Fab
Wearing statement necklaces can enhance your wardrobe and transform your outfits. Pairing a dark winter jacket with a glitzy statement necklace can do wonders, and easily transition your outfit from day to night.

Pair the statement necklace with a sleek top, an elegant skirt and little to no jewelry. Your statement necklace should actually have the chance to make a statement… So, let your necklace do the talking by keeping a ‘minimalist chic’ look for the rest of the outfit.

Or Dress It Down…
If you’re a sweater and jeans kind of gal, go ahead and wear your skinny jeans and oversized sweater –just top your outfit off with a standout necklace.

TLV Fashion Week

Tel Aviv Fashion Week kicked off earlier in October with local emerging and veteran designers set to send their inspiring wares down the runway …

Dori was invited to many of the shows. She had fun being surrounded by brilliant colors, and innovative designs, mingling with friends and customers,  cheering on her fashion designers friends and….watching her statement jewelry pieces on Gideon & Karen Oberson runway….what more can a fashion lover ask for….?

Flower Power Is Here To Stay!

We can’t talk about spring florals without quoting the legendary Meryl Streep as Miranda Priestly in The Devil Wears Prada: “Florals? For Spring? Groundbreaking.”

Yes, Meryl, we agree: Florals for spring isn’t anything new. But, they are a fashion staple and we can’t get enough of them!

This season, we see gardens growing and blooming at the stores with a mixture of happy colors and painterly like feeling. We just can’t resist these juicy, fragrant colors and invite vivid floral designs to take over our closet and freshen up our look…

My Philosophy – The Marker interview with Dori

The Marker team sat down with Dori to talk about her philosophy, inspiration and her fall-winter 2014-2015 collection.  Here is the interview as published in The Marker Women Magazine….

What were the thoughts and inspiration behind creating your fall-winter 2014-2015 collection?

“This season is all about change! The interplay between hand-embroidery tradition and creative intuition lays the path for new innovative designs. I enjoy mixing influences without borders and playing with contrasting elements while creating signature narrative designs that are a testament to time. My collection’s palette is a mixture of harmonious brights with subtle neutrals allowing for unconventional looks and inviting my customers to stretch their imagination.”

On The Fringe

Fringes are back! We’ve been spying them in every length, style, and color on a slew of runways including Guy Laroche, Miu Miu, Joseph Altuzarra and Emilio Pucci. But this season the trend has gone from casual and cool to seriously chic — it certainly isn’t just for the Coachella crowd anymore!

Graceful evening gowns and vibrant summer dresses swish and sway with touches of luxe vibe fringes , while shoes and bags are tasseled up in expensive suedes and soft leathers.

Forever a little Rock ‘n’ Roll, fringes have been adding a playful kick to Dori’s creations.
The Harper necklace fuses the metallic trend with fringe creating a stylish look that could easily pump up a basic outfit and make it look fabulous.

Dori in Paris

Dori & Giora LOVE Paris and exhibited at the Premiere Classe shows sooooo many times, that they are just a tad shy of becoming true Parisians…But even they were surprised by the city’s somewhat frosty welcome…  🙂
ImageBefore the show started, they were glad that the weather allowed a visit to their favorite Square Gabriel Pierné for some much needed recharging.  After all, Dori had just barely managed to beat the clock and get to the finish line with her new spring-summer 2013 collection minutes before the flight. It’s not official… but we have a feeling…. that the final finishing touches were given to the last jewelry piece while on the plane… 🙂
ImageThe first day of the show started with the booth set-up. When the furniture pieces were all assembled, Dori carefully arranged the jewelry display. Things came along smoothly with the help of Claudine, our French agent, and Dori & Giora even had some spare time for posing for the camera…ImageBefore long, our booth was bustling with all the boutique & gallery owners, department stores buyers and fashion journalists who dropped by to view Dori’s new collection. Many loyal customers have become close friends of team Dori over the years, so between talking about the new jewelry styles and placing orders, there was a whole lot of “catching-up” and joking around…

Even with all the hard work (…and play…) Dori & Giora managed to have some breathers and had fun walking the show and visiting their designer friends.

“No arm should be without a wooden bangle or two”….  🙂

Part of the show was dedicated to upcoming fashion trends that could be viewed at the Forum De Tendances and… on the Who’s Next runway.  The Who’s Next organizers asked Dori to “pretty please” loan them some of her exciting haute couture pieces and she gladly obliged…

After the show had closed, Dori spent a day doing one of her favorite activities…shopping for materials! She scouted bead stores, flea markets, gemstones suppliers and vintage boutiques in search for materials that would spark her imagination…

Like all good things, the Paris trip was about to come to an end. On their last morning stroll at the Jardin des Tuileries Dori & Giora had a surprising encounter with….a goat. As it happened, the charming creature was employed by the municipality of Paris…job description: weed eating & shrubs trimming … 🙂

And that was it….time to pack up and fly back home….Au Revoir Paris!!!! See you again in March!….♥
